My Beginning Of The Year ...

Hey everybody,

I hope you're all doing well. We are on the West Coast for a few games in a row. We lost against Sacramento on Saturday with a difference of 4pts then we won in Seattle 118-108.

We are playing against the Trail Blazers tonight, then Golden State and Utah. After that, we're coming back in Chicago for a week and a half.

I was talking in my last message about my motivations for this year and notably the fact to be more present in the rotation of the squad. You should have noticed that since a few games, I'm playing in the starting line-up. The replacement of the head coach and the fact that some important players are injured (Kirk, Luol, Chris and Ben) gave me an opportunity to play and prove what I can do. It's a real pleasure to play again. My goal is now to maintain myself in the rotation of the squad and help my team to be qualified for the Playoffs.

Despite these good performances, I have to progress in few different areas of my game. I know that my defense helps me now to be on the court and that I have to work on my offensive lucidity. I have to make an effort in the comprehension of the game and I have to learn to make the right decisions. I'm working also on my shoots and I hope that my effort will pay off soon.

Concerning the team, our goal is to get qualified for the Playoffs. Our month of January is acceptable knowing how many important players are injured. With a limited squad, we tried to limit the damages. The positive point about these injuries are that young players such as Joakim, Tyrus and me played more and it gave us confidence for the rest of the season. Now that Kirk, Ben Gordon, Chris Duhon and Joe Smith are back in the squad, there is only Luol Deng left to be ready at 100% for the rest of the season.

Thank you again for your support and see you next month!
